17 year-old Alex Zivojinovich (the future superstar Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson) arguing with his parents about his doubtful future. From the doc "Come on Children":

@NBForrest i saw rush in concert, it was impressive. i have never experienced such an all-sense attack as when they started.

@Alex_Linder It is my regret not to have seen them. They are (were in Peart's case) great musicians with great songs.

@NBForrest tell you what, it made me understand Nazis better. you can be completely overwhelmed and moved in spite of yourself by noise that loud and music that good.

@NBForrest it had to be similar, their understanding of what jews call 'production values.

we all want to be part of something greater. but nothing that offends our mind like xtianity, that's just unjustifiable, indefensible sad-sackism

@Alex_Linder Oh, to have been at a Nuremberg rally, or under the balcony as Hitler watched the torchlight victory parade march past...

@NBForrest @Alex_Linder my dad saw him speak there when he was in the hitler youth and I have some pictures of some family member there wearing a u-boat uniform

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest it's not nuremberg like I thought. it's october 12th 1943. I don't know which one is my relative, I can't read the back maybe you can help me read it?

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest I scribbled my last name out with paint lol I can't make heads nor tails out of this

@su @NBForrest abschreiten - Wiktionary
abschreiten (class 1 strong, third-person singular present schreitet ab, past tense schritt ab, past participle abgeschritten, auxiliary haben or sein) to pace or stride along (walk slowly along some path, as an officer inspecting a line of soldiers)

@su @NBForrest i cant tell what the first word. it looks like verreichigung but that's not a word. close to association but not spelled same way.

it's obviously someone saying picture of general reviewing the troops before they set off to sea, i think

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest thanks! I couldn't even make out the letters at all. I have more but they all say the same thing mostly and as hard to read.
Can you make out what the name is on the bottom?

@su @Alex_Linder @NBForrest That is "Matrose" which means "sailor" == lowest rank

@Marko @Alex_Linder @NBForrest thanks! I never would've figured this out without your help!

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest I have more from this day, it must've been a swearing in day for all branches because in the other pics, they've got wehrmacht uniforms on, I think

@su @NBForrest yep. and for god's sake dont draw on them. jesus. just put some paper over anything you want covered.

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest I didn't! I used an editing program and was surprised that it looked so realistic lol

@su @NBForrest good. i wouldnt think you'd be that dumb. not only are those pics historically valuable they would sell for a considerable amount.

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest oh don't worry, I wouldn't have thought so either but I've let myself down plenty!
Really? I never thought of dollar value, just family history that I have so little of, I'd never part with them!

@su @NBForrest real unjewed photos from middle of war inside germany - that's absolutely worth something.

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest I'll share the other ones I have, it'll just take a second

@Alex_Linder @NBForrest I bet the sailor relative is the one taking the pictures. Looks like unintelligible handwriting runs in the family lol. That's all I have for right now

@su that's great handwriting compared to most
